STATEMENT REGARDING THE PASSING OF RUSSELL MILLER (JULY 2023)
Like many in the Music Community, we are shocked and devastated by the news of Russell's sudden passing. He has been a staple of our annual Chicago Conducting Workshop for over a decade. Russell's contributions have benefited countless conductors/musicians of all levels, always making a positive impact on everyone he encountered.
Russell was a gifted musician, an inspirational teacher, and an amazing human. His presence will be greatly missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to know him and learn from him. On behalf of CMWS, we send our sincerest condolences to Russell's family, friends, and all who are grieving his loss.
